Whitney Laine Westbrook is a singing and live production DJ, based in LA, adding a fresh sound and spin to the electronic music scene, with her vision for a fresh approach to promoting health, emotional intelligence, and faith. Her music is highly influenced by Soul mixed with Hiphop and Techno and is inspired by artists like Odesza, Hermitude, Bob Moses, Ben Bohmer, and Artbat and her soulful voice to accompany it influenced by artists such as Beyonce, Tori Kelly, and Joss Stone.
With a background in music extending over 15+ years, this musical DJ diva has a breadth of experience in operatic performance, classical music theory and composition. If that weren’t enough, she now sets out to tackle DJing as well as producing, writing, and arranging her own materials, under the guidance of musical greats such as LA natives, opera star, Cathy McCord Larsen, and industrial techno producer and DJ extraordinaire, JJ Noriega (AKA, Triceradrops/Demek).
In 2014 Whitney moved further down the California coast, venturing from her hometown of Carmel-by-the-Sea, to glean wisdom from music industry veterans and graduated in 2016 with her MA in Music Industry and Branding at the University of Southern California. While at USC and shortly after graduating, Whitney worked with many music giants and various companies in LA such as USC Thornton, Warner Bros Music, MOAG (Mind of a Genius), Insomniac, Atlantic Records, Sony, Th3rd Brain Records, and more.
In 2010, she obtained her BA in Music from Cal Poly - San Luis Obispo, studying as a classically trained opera singer and performing in several operas as well as musicals for companies all over CA.
Whitney plans to take over the electronic scene after further mastering music creation and executing her vision…so get ready.
